I did say that i would try & post some tutorials this week, so i have one Today, one on Friday & on Sunday the 1st I will be kicking off my brand new Spring & Summer series!! Make sure you tune in as you will be getting a sneak peek of some of the fab new products!!
It will be my Mum's Birthday Tomorrow & i wanted to make her a special card. I decided to go for a pop up book card. I hope you like them!
The tutorial i followed for this card is from a US Demonstrator called Deb Valder
If you have never made one of these cards before please give it a go. They really are no were near as hard as they may look. The finished result is simply beautiful.
DIMENSIONS
Base Card measures 6" x 12" OR 15.2 cm x 30.5 cm
Score this on the long side @ 6" OR 15.2 cm
Inside Panel card measures 5 1/2" x 11 1/2" OR 14 cm x 29.2 cm
Line up the short side @ 3/4" & cut from 1 3/4" to 9 3/4" Do this on both sides of the card
OR line up @ 2 cm & cut from 4.5 cm to 24.7 cm on both sides
Score the long side @ 5 3/4" OR 14.5 cm (only score top & bottom)
Score @ 7 3/4" OR 19.7 cm ( score all the way down)
score @ 1 3/4" OR 4.5 cm ( score the middle only)
score @ 2 1/2" OR 6.3 cm ( score middle only)
score @ 9" OR 22.8 cm ( score middle only)
score @ 9 3/4" OR 25. cm (score middle only)
OUTSIDE MAT & LAYERS
1 piece measuring 5 5/8" square OR 14.3 cm square
1 piece measuring 5 7/8" square OR 14.9 cm square
INSIDE PANELS
2 pieces measuring 3 3/4" x 5/8" OR 9.5 cm x 1.6 cm
2 pieces measuring 3 x 3 3/4" OR 7.6 cm x 9.5 cm
2 pieces measuring 2 7/8" x 3 5/8" OR 7.3 cm x 9.2 cm
