Happy Saturday!! I hope you all have a great weekend whatever you do :-) Today i will be getting some more work done in the house and tomorrow i am hoping to get some tutorials recorded as well as some blog posts!
As promised, i have the second and final part of my Travellers Notebook tutorial. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as me! I love making these and i am sure you will to if you give it a try. I will list all the dimensions at the end of this post in Imperial and Metric :-)
I love this one in Foil Frenzy and the great thing is that you can choose to decorate them any colour and style you like. Whatever design you choose i know it will look beautiful. This notebook would make an amazing gift! You could even make a beautiful presentation gift box to put the notebook in.
In my opinion, these are not much different from an expensive planner! Why pay all that money when you can make one just how you want it. Maybe you could also try selling these at craft fairs. I am very confident that these will be great sellers.
Like i said in my tutorial, one of the great things about this organiser is you can replace the notebooks without spoiling the covers. If you are going to gift one you could even put some spare notebooks in.
I really hope you have enjoyed this 2 part tutorial. I will add all dimensions below :-)

DeleteJust finished copying all instructions . . . THANKS . . . in particular for the tip on folding white paper instead of the notebooks . . . I was breaking my brain just thinking where I could get your notebooks. Absolutely beautiful!!
DeleteThank you Marina :-) You will love making it xx
DeleteHi Ann, In case anyone is stuck finding notebooks in the uk, Wilkinsons had some, albeit hidden on a shelf at floor level and not obvious at all. Not found them anywhere else on the high street. Amazon.co.uk have them though,the brand is Silvine (memo notebook) same size as yours and you can get a pack of 24 for £11.62.They were £1 for one in Wilkinson's. You've got me addicted to these things (;
DeleteThank you very much for sharing that Kellie :-) I have a little idea for the notebooks but not tried it yet. Fingers crossed it will work. Lol i said they were VERY addictive :-) xx
DeleteHi Ann, I love it and look forward to having a go at it. I have just finish a mini album, following your super tutorial for the baby mini album. It is for my nephew who will be baptised tomorrow. I'd decided to use the DSP you had used before I found your tutorial. I hope to put some photos on my blog next week and will link it back to you. Thank you for sharing your super ideas.
ReplyDeleteHeard your name mentioned by lady in US re the surgical spirit tip for keeping stamps on blocks. In fact you were mentioned by two US demos! Take care
Anne

Hi Ann, love your tutorial on the travels notebook. My question is, what thickness is the elastic gold thread? I am definitely going to give it go. Thank you so much for your video.
ReplyDeleteHi Gayle, thank you so much! I am not sure on the elastic i used but i would take a guess at 2mm. I have ran out of that now and just bought some beautiful ones from Ebay which are 1.2mm. I like them better as they just a bit thinner. I got silver and gold but you can also get red and green!! I will be making more and i have some more tutorials planned for them :-)
