Welcome to my blog.
Today i have a Pop-Up box card for you. I love this card and its a bit of fun which we all need...right? Please do not be put off by thinking this card is hard or tricky. It really is very simple to make. Just a heads up, you will need a small elastic band to create tension so the box can pop up when the card is opened.
To make my card i used the Petal Palette bundle and also the matching DSP. I used 3 colours on my card which were Basic black, Whisper white & Blushing Bride. This would be a fantastic card for so many occasions & i am sure the recipient will love it!
DIMENSIONS
CARD BASE MEASURES 11 3/4" X 4 1/4"
SCORE IN THE MIDDLE @ 5 7/8"
BLUSHING BRIDE MEASURES 4 1/8" X 5 3/4"
DSP MEASURES 4" X 5 5/8"
2 PIECES WHISPER WHITE MEASURING 4 1/8" X 5 3/4"
2 PIECES CARD MEASURING 6 X 4 1/2"
SCORE LONG SIDE @ 3"
SCORE SHORT SIDE @ 3"
MARK THE 4 POINTS AT 1 1/2" AS SHOWN IN THE TUTORIAL.

Hi Ann! I cannot see exactly where I should punch for the elastic, but I will try. I think we can even place inside the box a little tiny, flat gift. Thanks for this card which is so different.
ReplyDeleteI love it . I made one 2 yrs ago but just the box decorated with a no 9 on it . He had so much fun with it because it really made him jumped the first time. I am happy to revisit it again with you today

ReplyDeleteAnn, it is a really unusual card but such a fun card at that. Thank you for leaving in your mistake about not adding the elastic band as this demonstrates to us crafters that all crafters make errors and these can be put right. If you had edited it out then that would not have helped at all. Thank you for sharing such a fabulous project with us. :O)
