  1. Hi Ann. I have followed and been inspired by your blog for the last year, I think some of the things you have created have been truly amazing. However, I could never have afforded to buy stampin up products and I have always used your ideas with products sourced elsewhere. I think you are quite right, stampin up is a big business and is all about profit. It has always amazed me that you and other demonstrators are expected to constantly change and update your product.

So all the best for the future, I hope you will continue with your inspirational ideas and go back to enjoying your papercrafting, rather than running a business. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Have a great Christmas and look forward to a new you in the new year.

  3. Hi Ann - I am a faithful follower and love all your ideas and the easy way you present them. I am so happy you will be continuing to post. I can't afford SU products and use other products when I make what you have designed so your not being a demo for SU does not effect me.
I wish you well in the coming years and look forward to CASing what you create. Thank you.

  4. Hi Ann, good luck to you in your future endeavors. You are a very talented lady and so generously share your ideas and creations in the spirit of paper crafting. I, too, was once a SU! demonstrator years ago but left so I could purchase and create with other brand products and not be restricted on my blog. I wouldn't be surprised if a company approaches you to be a design team member so you can create and share how to use other products out there. I will continue to follow you on your blog and on FB. Spread your wings and fly, Ann! The world is yours!

  6. Hi Ann
I started just a few months after you and you were always my mentor . I watched every single video of yours and by trying to do it hereafter that I learnt a lot and increase my loving of creating 3d than making cards. I am not surprised by your decision Ann' and I am taking the same decision too. Yes you are right it is costing too much money and the pressure is increasing on us day by day. I have so much that I never used and I did not even touched the Christmas book. I fought for 2 yrs and killed myself in workshop with no attendance or not one cent sale and I have never been able to have even one downline. I agree with every single word of yours . I wish you big success in your future endeavours because I am sure that a lot of businesses will be happy to have you to form part of their team without this pressure from the big one. Well done Ann, at least you are honest and can't continue to bring others in the same boat .You are not loosing any of your friends or followers, your goodwill has been built on your past hard work now I am sure that a big future is waiting for you. Good luck and I will always be your friend.

  10. I am so happy that you are still going to be doing your videos and your Blog. I really like that make such cute treat holders and don't need to buy a diecut to make it. I love watching your videos and your instructions are so easy to follow. You make the best tutorials. Even as a customer it is so hard to try to keep up with all the new products. Thank you for all your sharing. You are the BEST!

  11. I am from the US and watch all of your videos. We have tons of SU dealers here and I understand why you are giving it up. There are lots of restrictions if you have a blog and probably if you don't, but if you don't, you have more leeway. I have lots of SU products that have never seen the light of day because you only have so many hours in the day that you can devote to making cards etc. You are correct that they retire too many products too soon and that doesn't give the demonstrators time to do their job before another set of stamps/dies are coming out again. Also, they push certain products and then run out, but that seems to be the way that some of the companies do now. Please keep making your videos, etc. as they are enjoyed by many. I have made quite a few of the things you have posted. Thank you.

    1. Hi, thank you for your comment. As I said in my video it's no fun anymore. Were is the fun in buying expensive products that only stay current for a few months then have to buy more again. Plus they are so similar to the ones that they just retired!!
Crafting is supposed to be fun, that's not fun .it's a total waste of money .

  14. Ann -I have really enjoyed watching your videos and tuning into your blog over the years. I appreciate your talent, and because of you, I’ve tried so many projects I never would have tried. Thank you so much for sharing with the entire world of paper crafters. I have learned so much from you and have appreciated your time and talent. You have been my favorite blog to follow, and I love the difficulty of your projects.

Stampin Up is losing a very special, talented lady, but I certainly understand why you are resigning. I’m from Canada and have recently made the same decision you have.

I don’t like the direction Stampin Up is taking or their disregard for their demonstrators. It’s become impossible to make any money as a SU Demonstrator, and I don’t like the way they cater to the beginner stamper, or how quickly items are discontinued. Their prices are higher than competitors, quality has gone down, many of the products in the latest catalogue have been unavailable almost since the catalogue was published, and their new products are not original, so I have also decided to quit. I am looking forward to using and buying any product from any company.

I look forward to seeing all your creative blogs in the future, and I will follow each and every post. Good luck in the future and thank you for sharing your talents with us. God Bless.

  15. Hi, thank you for your comment. You are right in what you say.
There is no money in SU as there is way to many demonstrators fighting against each other.
I believe in being truthful and that is the truth.
You spend more money being a demonstrator than what you will ever make!!
I wish you all the best :-)
    Love Ann xx

  16. I've just found your YouTube channel, Facebook Page and Blog. I'm enjoying your Videos, along with the great Tips and Techniques you share.
I don't know how the SU demonstrators can afford to continue buying the amount of New Products that are released every few months. I've heard SU has good quality but I find the prices to high for my budget. I try to find the expensive Brand Name items on Sale or Clearance when possible or do without. We all want New designs but with so many Brands making simular designs in Dies & Stamps, it pays to shop around.
I'm excited to watch you in the New Year as you continue to share your ideas using sourced products.
Wishing you a Wonder~Filled New Year in 2019.

  17. Hi Ann, totally agree with your decision.
Some time ago I informed about being a SU demonstrator in the Netherlands. But the restrictions put me off completely.
As we didn't have an SU demonstrator in NL, I was forced to buy from Ebay. And also SU demonstrators in the US and UK were not allowed to sell in Holland. However, since last year, we are able to buy SU products in NL, but I find them way too expensive.

So, I really hope to see more of you on YT because I always enjoy your crafty videos.

Again, you made the right choice and please continue what you're good at.

Bless you and lots of love

  18. You are better off as an independent demonstrator. You can be honest about the products you are using and that would be a benefit for your followers too. You don't have to make a PR for products you may not even like. And I am really angry about that you have to buy the products before you can demonstrate them. That make no sense at all. You've done the right thing. Take care and have a relaxing and a creative weekend🌼😊
